Email CraigI'm a simple man with a simple mission: To learn to love as Christ loves, to win people to Christ, and to help people grow in their relationship with Christ. Preaching the Gospel is important. Making sure the Gospel is clearly stated, and accurate is my goal. The power of the Gospel is enormous. Timothy was told to "Preach the Word," 2 Timothy 4:2. So, I preach the Word of God. The same Word that Paul says is, God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Tim 3:16-17 - NIV)
Romans 1:16 tells us the Gospel is the power of God for salvation. Hebrews 4:12 reveals the Word of God is living and active. So, communicating the Gospel is an important mission. Please pray that I can complete my task, people will learn of God's love for us, of Christ's sacrifice for us, of the Spirit's strength for us, and that the Church will actively execute our mission (Matthew 28:18-20).
Personally, I have a great wife, Becky, and five wonderful children, and one fine grandson. I was raised in Crocker, MO and received my first real training of the Bible from the Crocker Christian Church and from my mentor, Merwyn "Mac" McMillan. I received my formal education at Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, MO and at Central Christian College of the Bible, Moberly, MO.
I have held ministries with the Missouri Training Center for Men, Moberly, MO, Allerton Christian Church, Allerton, IA, Lake Eufaula Christian Church, Eufaula, OK, and have now been with the Solid Rock Christian Church since November of 1994.
Email BrianWell, I don’t like long walks on the beach, if that’s what you’re asking. But I do enjoy Cardinal baseball, listening to ‘The Tallest Man on Earth,’ and numerous other things that would bore most people to death.
My family brings me the most joy, however! I particularly enjoy it when my wife uses big words that I don’t understand (she is a nurse and has quite the repertoire). I laugh at my two year old daughter; she speaks with a bit of a Brooklyn(ish) accent. I am perplexed at my four year old son; for anytime we go someplace new he is overly curious as to if other humans will be there also. They are easy to love!
As far as ministry goes, currently I teach the Offspring Sunday school class. This is a young adult class for those 18-35 years of age. If that’s you, feel free to join us. I lead a Core Group on Wednesday nights; I lead our Kid’s Kingdom program, and have been the lead organizer in men’s fellowship activities (aka-Ftroop).
I don’t so much have a phrase that I live by. Mostly, I just try to do everything in an unorthodox fashion to drive friend and colleague, (Craig) plum mad. I suppose that does it for now. Did I mention ‘The Tallest Man on Earth’ is some really good music! As for salvation, Jesus is your guy.
Livestrong and Godspeed!
